I had such a great time working with Scott & Laura to capture their wedding. I think they have to be one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met. Scott & Laura love to travel and their wedding was travel themed. The best part was the photo scavenger hunt they had going (see the guide below). I was going to play, but I figured being a professional would be cheating!
Alex nicknamed the storm yesterday after his beautiful bride, “Hurricane Danielle”. It was very appropriate as it pretty much poured all day with a few breaks for just sprinkles. Self proclaimed nerds, Alex and Danielle had their “May the 4th Be With You” wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the rain, Danielle kept an amazing attitude all day. Even while dragging her dress through puddles as we were determined to get some fun portraits around the zoo. By the time the reception hit, which had to be moved in doors, EVERYONE was soaked. But it was beautiful and Alex and Danielle ended up married at the end of the day. That was the goal… So, I say it was a huge success! Please enjoy this little sneak peek from Danielle and Alex’s wedding. Oh… and you know when there is a lightsaber battle between the bride and groom… that it’s an epic wedding!

I think every single one is beautiful. Beauty is much more than a collection of ideal physical features. It’s an attitude. It’s inside you. It’s passion for life and each other. I see it. People that know me know that I’m kind of a geek. I like scifi shows. I love technology. So, when Danielle & Alex came to me said they were having a “May the 4th be with you” wedding, I was hooked. I knew I had to shoot their wedding. I had so much fun shooting their portraits in St. Augustine. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next month in Jacksonville!
