Pamela & Jude’s Intimate Ponte Vedra Wedding

When I arrived at the Cabana Club in Ponte Vedra Beach for Pam and Jude’s wedding, it was thundering and lightening. The officiant and I stood on the boardwalk looking at the very dark clouds rolling our way. The big question… were we going to have to move the ceremony to an indoor location. The coordinator talks to the bride, she says, “She wants the ceremony on the beach no matter what”. Then this happens…

We waited it out and the storm let up for about 30 minutes. Just enough time to have a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony with just close friends and family. it turned out very nice. I’m glad Pam was able to have her beach wedding despite the storm!

A Unique Mother’s Day Portrait

I love being able to be creative on a portrait session. It’s not common… most people want the ordinary. Then there was this session…. Here’s how my conversation basically went with Angie:

Angie: I love your work. I want to hire you to do a creative portrait of my Mom and Mother’s day.
Me: Ok… tell me about your mom.
Angie: She loves dogs. She fosters them and loves her Scotty… Oh… and she makes incredible margaritas!
Me: Hmm…. this may sound crazy, but hear me out…

Here’s the result.

The result is perfect. Tells everything about Mom in one single picture!

Scott & Laura’s Jacksonville Beach Wedding

I had such a great time working with Scott & Laura to capture their wedding. I think they have to be one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met. Scott & Laura love to travel and their wedding was travel themed. The best part was the photo scavenger hunt they had going (see the guide below). I was going to play, but I figured being a professional would be cheating!

May the 4th Be With You! – Jacksonville Zoo Wedding

Alex nicknamed the storm yesterday after his beautiful bride, “Hurricane Danielle”. It was very appropriate as it pretty much poured all day with a few breaks for just sprinkles. Self proclaimed nerds, Alex and Danielle had their “May the 4th Be With You” wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the rain, Danielle kept an amazing attitude all day. Even while dragging her dress through puddles as we were determined to get some fun portraits around the zoo. By the time the reception hit, which had to be moved in doors, EVERYONE was soaked. But it was beautiful and Alex and Danielle ended up married at the end of the day. That was the goal… So, I say it was a huge success! Please enjoy this little sneak peek from Danielle and Alex’s wedding. Oh… and you know when there is a lightsaber battle between the bride and groom… that it’s an epic wedding!

Like mom says, When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Nice to see the couple was able to roll with the change in weather. Can’t wait to see how you used the rain in the final images.

Awesome photography! I love that the bride and groom had light sabers!
