Kat & Karim are from Gainesville, Florida, but they wanted to do their engagement portraits in St. Augustine. So, we worked it around one of their visits to Jacksonville (they are getting married in Jacksonville). We arrived in St. Augustine on a Saturday evening and it was raining. Uh, oh! Sunday wasn’t an option and they were returning to Gainesville on Monday. So, I figured we’d just shoot until we couldn’t any more. We got a few shots in before it started to open up. We ran to a little shelter and I got a few shots under a roof. Our persistence paid off. The rain went away and we even got a little bit of warm sun light. So, we continued around George Street and some other back streets.
These two are so stink’n cute together, it’ll make you sick! It was a lot of fun hanging out with them. Oh… and we had Pirates! Everything is fun when you get some pirates involved. I hope you enjoy the images!

Tom,
Great shots! I notice that you always include a shot of your subject’s feet. Is that your signature (one of ) shot? Or is there a story behind it’s presence?
Loving these Thomas. Great work as always. Seriously love the shot of them standing still why everyone rushes by.
What a great couple, I can’t wait to see the wedding photos. I love that one where they’re still with the people walking by, and the puddle reflection. Nicely done Thomas!

You rock with light and lighting. The couple looks gorgeous, and I love the pirates!
Very cute! I love every single photos here but my fave is the street shot with people walking by.
Love the shot of them sitting in front of the fountain. It’s lit perfectly.
This session is overflowing with style! =)
Great stuff! I love the alleyways in St. Auggie, especially loving the backlit sun. You caught such a great sparkle in her eye.
Beautiful couple, awesome photos and that location rocks!
Gorgeous images Tom; vibrant and fun loving. Kat & Karim are a great looking couple.
Stunning as usual! Love that third one down. You are a lighting master, Thomas!!
