September 1st, 2000 my sweetest angel was born. Today is her 9th birthday. She’s growing up so fast! I knew she was going to be special from her very first cry. I came out into the hospital hallway to get our parents my Dad said, “Wow… that girl has some lungs!” Yep. She ripped one of the loudest cries I’ve ever heard from a 10 second old. She has been independent and strong willed ever since. She’s a leader. She is the epitome of style. Last year at a school function (when Rachel was in 3rd grade), I over heard one 5th grade girl say to another 5th grade girl, “I love your new outfit, it’s very Rachel Lester style”. Ha! That’s my girl.
I love this chick with every ounce of me. She’s amazing and I love being a part of her life. I’m so blessed that God has allowed her to grace my life.
