Ashley – Studio Manager Extraordinaire

I’m super excited to introduce to the world Thomas Lester Photography’s new Studio Manager, Ashley Caneva. As the Studio Manager, Ashley will run the day to day operations of our photography studio. Not only will she keep the photographers in line, but she will also be the liaison to our amazing clients and potential clients. I’ve asked Ashley to write a little about her self so everyone can get to know her. Here goes….

Hi! I’m Ashley Caneva. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from UNF with degrees in English and History after studying abroad at Cambridge University in England. So as you might guess, I’m a bit of a classic literature and history geek.

I married my best friend and the love of my life in 2008. He proposed after 6 months of dating and we got married 4 1/2 months later. My green-eyed guitar player and I love the outdoors and going on adventures together, including hiking, kayaking, and world travel. We actually met on a trip to Peru, and have since traveled to Costa Rica, Spain, Greece, Swaziland, South Africa, Tahiti, Austrailia, and New Zealand together.

I’m also a big fan of food – especially if it’s healthy and culturally diverse. I’m one of those people who tweets what I’m cooking on a regular basis and has to reheat dinner because it got cold while I was photographing it for my food blog. Cooking is my creative outlet, and my husband is a great guinea pig for all the crazy recipes I find.

I consider myself a lifelong student – I’m always researching and learning something, such as genealogy, foreign language, nutrition and natural remedies, and history. Other favorite things include singing, old movies (especially those featuring Cagney, Bogart, and Grant) and the 1940′s in general, thunderstorms, new notebooks and office supplies, sudoku, chocolate, and anything Doctor Who related.

In 2011, I started my own web-based business, but I learned through that experience that what I really enjoy is people and working to help others achieve their goals. I look forward to being part of helping you preserve your memories with Thomas Lester Photography!

Katrina & Kyle’s Jacksonville Wedding

It was a beautiful day for a wedding, framed by thunderstorms before and after. But during Katrina and Kyle’s wedding, it was perfection! I had such a good time watching Kyle peek over at Katrina. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her during the Catholic Mass! Then, I’d catch Katrina smiling back at Kyle. True love! The party was amazing and everything looked beautiful. Big congratulations to Katrina & Kyle!

Russell Family

I love being trusted by a family to capture the milestones in their life. This image is from our third session with the Russell family over the last couple of years. It’s awesome to see their cute little boy grow up. They are a beautiful family!

And here’s the final product. Printed deep matte and mounted in a custom archival framed. It’s gorgeous!

It’s always nice to see a physical print. Pictures weren’t meant to live as files.
