It is always exciting to see one of my wedding clients featured in magazines, blogs, and newspapers. Rekha & Aman had their Indian wedding featured in the Jacksonville Time’s Union this weekend. You can see the online version on Jacksonville.com.
Ok… I didn’t get lit on fire, but it was close. There was a guest to my left that caught his foot on fire. Ha! This was a little bit scary, but a lot of fun. The whole time the bride and groom were coming at me, there were guests getting dangerously close to me with sparklers. I kept yelling out loud, “Don’t light the photographer on fire!” Here’s a serious tip, the easy light paper wrapped sparklers make a lot of smoke. It can be a cool look or it can be a disaster. It worked well at this wedding.

Awesome moment caught. Love how you can see the B&G through all the smoke. The bride looks a little nervous about the whole thing, but the groom seems to be loving it. 
Glad you didn’t get burned. These things can easily go wrong if not coordinated correctly. Add alcohol in the mix and you got a recipe for disaster.
We recently had two weddings with INDOOR fireworks. Scary stuff!

Rekha & Aman’s wedding weekend was a blast. Four ceremonies over two days. When I first met these two, Aman said to Rekha, “Tom likes to take pictures of feet, he’s going to love our shoes!” Aman was right. I loved their shoes. Every once in a while you meet a couple that is so crazy in love (emphasis on crazy) that you know right off the bat that you are ether going to love them or want to kill them. I have just fallen in love with Charlotte and Jarrod. They ARE crazy in love and it shows. They are just fun to be around. Charlotte has an infectious smile and you can try all you want to fight it… when she smiles, you will too! I’m really looking forward to their wedding day.
